This is a rare vintage c. 1978 stainless steel Rolex Submariner "Tiffany & Co." 1680. It has an integral 93150 stainless steel Oyster bracelet with 580 end links, and a "Top Hat" acrylic crystal with a Cyclops bubble that magnifies the date at 3 o'clock. In overall excellent condition, the 40mm diameter solid three-body case, gently curved lugs, and flat black graduated bezel, are polished and brushed. It has a protected screw down Twinlock winding crown, and the original graduated bidirectional revolving black bezel has "fat font" Arabic numeral decompression times. It has a distinctive even patina on the luminous steel baton hands, and dot, triangular, and baton hour index markers. It has a center sweep second hand, and an outer perimeter track has minute/seconds divisions. It includes a Certified Official Swiss Chronometer (COSC) rating, and it's water resistant to 200 meters/660 feet. The 15mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Rolex Submariner "Tiffany & Co." 1680 has a mechanical self-winding Rolex caliber 1570 movement is rhodium-plated with oeil-de-perdrix embellishment. It's constructed with 26 jewels, a shock absorber mechanism, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a monometallic balance adjusted to heat, cold, and 5 positions, a self-compensating free- sprung Breguet balance spring, Microstella regulating screws, and a hacking mechanism. The Rolex Submariner "Tiffany & Co." 1680 was introduced in the mid 1970's.
