This is a vintage c. 1950's stainless steel Omega "Calatrava" Tuxedo Dial 2639-10. It has an alligator leather strap with a stainless steel tang buckle, and an acrylic crystal. It has a pull out domed winding crown, and a screw down solid case back. The inside of the case back is engine turned and engraved with "ACIER STAY BRITE-FAB. SWISS-SWISS MADE," and the OMEGA WATCH CO. triangle hallmark. The 35mm diameter solid three-body case, gently curved lugs, and flat angled bezel, are polished. The original "Tuxedo" dial has a silver center with a black minute scale, "syringe" style hands with luminous radium inserts, and a perimeter gloss black rim with gold Arabic numeral hour markers. There is a recessed silver running small seconds subsidiary dial at the 6 o'clock position. It has a 44-hour power reserve at full wind, and the 10mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Omega Vintage stainless steel "Calatrava" Tuxedo Dial 2639-10 has a mechanical manual winding Caliber 266 (base 30T2) movement. It's copper colored, and it's constructed with17 jewels, a straight-line lever escapement, and a cut bimetallic compensation balance. It includes a blued steel Breguet balance spring, an index regulator, and the mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 18,000 vph (2.5 Hz). The 30T2 movement was introduced in 1939 and was produced in various Omega watches until 1963. This Omega Vintage stainless steel "Calatrava" Tuxedo Dial 2639-10 was manufactured in the 1950's.
