Breitling Vintage Breitling SuperOcean 2005 "Slow Counter" Chronograph, extremely sharp and thick stainless steel case on a shell cordovan strap, manually wound Valjoux 7731 movement, very clean black dial with white outer minute track, beautifully aged original dial and hands, the evenly patinated luminous material on both dial and hands are original and unaltered, large chronograph hand records minutes on main dial for easy legibility under the water, aperture at 6 o'clock displays status of chronograph, aluminum bi-directional rotating 60-min bezel, acrylic crystal, circa 1967, diameter: 42mm, thickness: 14.5mm. Very rare watch in excellent condition with European Watch Company pouch and 6 month warranty.

This is a vintage c. 1965 stainless steel Breitling SuperOcean slow Counter 2005. It has a rubber dive strap with a stainless steel tang buckle, and an acrylic crystal. It has an aluminum bi-directional rotating 60-min bezel with Arabic numeral dive and decompression times, and a screw-down solid case back. The 42mm diameter three body solid case and lapidated lugs are polished/brushed. The dial is black with a white outer minute track, luminous white skeleton hands, and luminous round, triangular, and baton hour marker indexes. There is an aperture at 6 o'clock showing full circle, small circle and no circle for the start-stop and return-to-zero function of the "slow counter" chronograph. The luminous chronograph hand has an oversize diamond-shaped indicator that records minutes on the main dial for extra legibility. The aperture display at 6 is blank when the diving timer is inactive, and it exhibits a big green lume dot when it's engaged, with a small lume dot when it's paused. It's water resistant to 200 meters/660 feet, it has a 44-hour power reserve at full winding, and the 14.5mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Breitling SuperOcean Slow Counter 2005 has a mechanical manual winding Valjoux caliber 7731 movement is rhodium plated. It's constructed with 17 jewels, a shock absorber mechanism, and a straight-line lever escapement. It has a monometallic balance that's adjusted for temperature, and a self-compensating blued steel Breguet balance spring. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 18,000 vph (2.75 Hz). Breitling SuperOcean Slow Counter 2005 was introduced in 1965.
