More about Vintage Ultra Thin Automatic SS RARE!

This is a very rare vintage stainless steel c. 1970 Audemars Piguet Vintage Ultra-Thin Automatic 5273. It has a leather strap with a stainless steel tang bracelet, and an acrylic crystal. It has a pull out winding crown, and a solid screw down case back, inside of which is engraved/stamped "AUDEMARS PIGUET-SWISS-ACIER INOXYDABLE," and a serial number. The 34mm diameter solid three-body case, downturned lugs, and flat angled bezel, are polished. The dial is silver with applied blackened steel baton hour indices, and matching baton hands. It has a 40-hour power reserve at full wind, and the 5.9mm thin case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Audemars Piguet Vintage Ultra-Thin Automatic 5273 has a mechanical automatic self-winding Audemars Piguet caliber 2120 (base Jaeger LeCoultre 920 - the same movement used by Patek Philippe in the Nautilus 3700) movement. It has rhodium plating and a nickel-finished lever movement, a suspended barrel, with manual finishing of the bridges including polished bevels, satin-brushed edges, and Perlage on the recesses. It's constructed with 36 jewels, a monometallic Gyromax balance that's adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and 5 positions, an index regulator, and a free sprung self-compensating flat balance spring. The rotor has a 21K gold segment, and the mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 21,600 vph (3 Hz).
