More about Vintage Contograf Original Bracelet SS EXCELLENT

This is a vintage c. 1969 stainless steel Eberhard Contograf 31501-806. The solid screw-down case back includes the engraved starfish Contograf logo and the Eberhard & Co. signature. The 39mm diameter solid thee-body case, barrel chronograph pushbuttons, straight lugs, and original Eberhard-signed winding crown are polished/brushed. It has the original black dial with gilt printing, applied steel baton hour markers, a black 12-hour bezel with original red triangle at 12, steel Dauphine hands, and a central baton chronograph hand. It includes minute/seconds and 1/5th seconds divisions, an outer 60-1000 tachymeter scale with extension to 50 marked in red, and the Eberhard & Co. logo at 12 o'clock. There is a constant small seconds subsidiary dial at the 9 o'clock position, a 30-minute sub dial at 3 o'clock, and a red and black "roulette" date wheel at 6 o'clock. There is a micro-pusher located at 9 o'clock that advances the date. The 14mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. The mechanical, manual winding Eberhard caliber 310.82 movement is constructed using 21 jewels, a column-wheel chronograph mechanism, a jeweled coupling wheel, and an adjustable boot for regulation. The Eberhard Contograf was introduced in the mid 1960's and was a direct competitor of the Heuer Autavia, Omega Speedmaster, and other top models of the day.
