This is a vintage c. 1963 18K yellow gold Rolex Ladies Oyster Perpetual Date 69178. It has an integral 18K yellow gold President bracelet with a double folding deployment clasp, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coatings. There is a screw-down solid case back, and a screw down Oyster winding crown. The 26mm diameter solid three-body case, integral lugs, and fixed bezel set with 40 fine white diamonds, are polished/brushed. The dial is gold with 10 fine white diamond hour markers set in gold collets. It has gold baton hands and a center sweep seconds hand. There is a date aperture underneath a Cyclops magnification bubble at the 3 o'clock position. It has a Certified Official Superlative Chronometer (COSC) rating, and it's water resistant to 30 meters/100 feet. It has a 48-hour power reserve at full winding, and the 10.5mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Rolex Ladies Oyster Perpetual Date 69178 has a mechanical automatic self-winding Rolex caliber 2235 movement. It's rhodium-plated, with oeil-de-perdrix embellishment. It's constructed with 31 jewels, a shock absorber device, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a monometallic balance that's adjusted to 5 positions isochronism, and temperature, and a self-compensating flat balance spring. It includes a hacking seconds device for precision time setting, and the mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz).
