This is a stainless steel Nomos Ludwig 234. It has a shell cordovan strap with a stainless steel tang buckle, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. It has a pull out winding crown and an exhibition sapphire display case back engraved with "GESCHUTZTES MODELL LUDWIG – EDELSTAHL – WASSERDICHT BIS 3 ATM," and a serial number. The 38mm diameter solid three-body case, curved lugs, and thin rounded bezel, are polished. The dial is silver gray with black Roman numerals (Nomos uses "IIII" instead of "IV") at the even hours, black baton indices, and blued steel baton hands. There is a perimeter railroad-style minute scale, and a recessed silver gray subsidiary running small seconds dial with a blued hand is at 6 o'clock. It has a 43-hour power reserve at full wind, and it's water resistant to 30 meters/100 feet. The 6.75mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Nomos Ludwig 234 has a mechanical manual winding Nomos caliber Alpha movement. It's made from Glashutte three-quarter plate, and it's rhodium plated, with cotes de Geneve embellishment, Glashutte ribbing, Glashütte ribbing, NOMOS perlage, and Glashutte stopwork. It's constructed with 17 ruby bearings, a stop seconds mechanism for precision time setting, blued screws, a straight-line lever escapement, and a Triovis fine adjustment regulator. It includes decentralized seconds, Incabloc shock protection, a monometallic Nivarox 1A balance spring adjusted to six positions, and tempered blue screws. It has a ratchet and crown wheel with Glashütte sunburst embellishment. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 21,600 vph (3 Hz). The Nomos Ludwig 234 was introduced in 2013.
