This is a platinum A. Lange & Sohne Datograph 453.135. It has the rare original straight end-link platinum beads of rice bracelet, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. It has rectangular chronograph push buttons, a screw down winding crown, a rectangular corrector on the left-side case band for the date, and there is an exhibition sapphire display case back secured with 6 screws, and engraved with "A. LANGE & SOHNE – GLASHUTTE SA.," and a serial number. The 39mm diameter solid three-body case, curved lugs, bracelet, and rounded bezel, are polished. The dial is black with white gold Dauphine hands with luminous inserts, a center sweep chronograph hand with a skeletonized diamond indicator, and there are applied white gold Roman numeral hour markers at 2, 6, and 10 o'clock around an outer white luminous minute/one-fifth second scale with Arabic numerals every five minutes/seconds to 60. Around the perimeter flange is a white luminous tachymeter scale to 400 UPH. There is a large gold-rimmed double date aperture window at 12 o'clock, and there are twin recessed silver subsidiary dials with black Arabic numerals and markers, and blued indicator hands, including a running small seconds register at 9 o'clock, and a 30-minute chronograph totalizer is at 3 o'clock. It has a 36-hour power reserve at full wind, and it's water resistant to 30 meters/100 feet. The 13mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed.

This A. Lange & Sohne 453.135 has a mechanical manual winding first series Lange in-house flyback chronograph caliber L951.1 movement. The plates and bridges are made of untreated German silver, with Cotes de Geneve embellishment, and a balance cock that's hand engraved. It's constructed with 40 jewels (including 4 in screwed gold chatons, 405components, blued screws, and a Kif shock absorber device. It includes a monometallic balance that's adjusted to 5 positions, a straight-line lever escapement, and a shock-resistant balance wheel with eccentric poising weights. The balance spring vibrates at a frequency of 18,000 vph (2.5 Hz), and there is a precision beat-adjustment system with a lateral setscrew and a whiplash spring.
