This is an 18K white gold IWC Portuguese Perpetual Calendar II, IW502303. The alligator leather strap has an 18K white gold deployment buckle. The three-body, polished and brushed case has curved lugs, an angled stepped bezel, and a transparent sapphire crystal display case back with 6 screws. The dial is black with applied oxidized white gold Arabic numeral hour markers, and an outer track with engraved dot minute markers. The moon phase aperture is at 12 o'clock, and the four-digit year window is at 8 o'clock. The day of the week and an offset seconds hand share the aperture at 9 o'clock, and a sub dial with a 7-day power reserve indicator and the days of the month are at 3. It's water resistant to 30 meters and the case, dial, and movement are all signed. The automatic IWC calibre 50611 Pellaton movement is rhodium-plated with fausses cotes embellishment. It's constructed with 66 jewels, a shock absorber mechanism, and a straight-line lever escapement. It has a Glucydur® beryllium alloy balance with a high-precision adjustment cam on balance arms adjusted to cold, heat, and 5 positions. It includes a self-compensating Breguet balance spring, a micrometer regulator, and a skeletonized 22K rotor with a gold medallion inlay engraved "IWC - Probus Scafusia (Fine Schaffhausen)." The Portuguese Perpetual Calendar is ultra-precise, with larger moon phase wheels that contain a higher number of teeth to reduce the deviation. Theoretically the moon phase display must only be adjusted by only 1 day in 577.5 years. The Portuguese Perpetual Calendar II debuted in 2010.
