More about Nautilus 5740 Perpetual Calendar 18k White Gold Blue Dial UNWORN

This is an 18k white gold Patek Philippe Nautilus Perpetual Calendar 5740/1G-001. It has an integral 18k white gold link bracelet with an advanced new double deployment clasp, and scratch resistant sapphire crystals. It has a pull out winding crown with crown guards, and there are four correctors on the case, including the date between 11 and 12 o'clock, the day at 9 o’clock, and the month between 12 and 1 o'clock. It includes a screw down exhibition sapphire display case back with hallmarks underneath each lug. The 40mm diameter solid three-body case, straight hooded lugs, bracelet, and flat cushion-shaped octagonal bezel, are polished/brushed. The dial is blue with raised horizontal embossing, applied faceted white gold baton hour indices with luminous inserts, and matching baton hands with luminous Superluminova inserts. There are three recessed blue subsidiary dials with luminous white Arabic numerals and indicator hands, including a day/24-hour indicator at 9 o'clock, a month/leap year register at 3 o'clock, and there is a combination radial date and moon phase dial at 6 o'clock. It's water resistant to 60 meters/200 feet, and it has a minimum power reserve of 38 hours at full winding. The 8.42mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Patek Philippe Nautilus Perpetual Calendar 5740/1G-001 has mechanical automatic self-winding Patek Philippe caliber 240 Q movement. It's rhodium plated with fausses cotes embellishment, the Patek Philippe seal, and chamfered and polished edges on the 8 bridges. It's constructed with 27 jewels, 275 components, a Spiromax balance spring, and a monometallic Gyromax balance adjusted for heat, cold, isochronism, and 5 positions. It includes an index regulator, and a recessed 22k gold offset microrotor engraved with the Patek Philippe Calatrava cross emblem, and côtes de Genève embellishment. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 21,600 vph (3 Hz). The Patek Philippe Nautilus Perpetual Calendar 5740/1G-001 is the first grand complication Nautilus, as well as Patek's thinnest perpetual calendar, introduced at Baselworld in 2018. The extremely exact moon-phase display is controlled by a mechanism that only deviates from the actual position of the moon by merely one day every 122 years.
