31483 Rolex 1680 RED Submariner Oyster Perpetual Date, stainless steel on a stainless steel folded link Oyster bracelet (9315 with 280 end links), automatic Rolex caliber 1575, Submariner indicated in RED font above 660ft = 200M, "Mark VI" dial, beautiful aged patina on both the dial and hands which appears original and unaltered, date window with cyclops magnifying bubble at 3 o'clock, nicely faded bezel insert which appears to be consistent with the age of the watch, "Top Hat" acrylic crystal, screw-down Trip-lock crown, 372XXXX serial (1974), water resistant to 660ft, diameter: 40mm, thickness: 15mm, Exellent Condition.

This is a vintage c. 1974 stainless steel Rolex Red Submariner 1680. It has an integral 93150 stainless steel Oyster link bracelet, with a double deployant clasp. The 40mm diameter solid three-body case is polished and brushed with a screw down case back and crown. It has a graduated bidirectional revolving black bezel showing decompression times, and a crown guard protects the Triplock winding crown. The "Top Hat" acrylic crystal has a Cyclops bubble that magnifies the date at 3 o'clock. This has a Mark VI black dial and the original luminous steel skeleton hands and dot, triangular, and baton hour index markers. It has a center sweep second hand, an outer track with minute/seconds divisions, and a Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres (COSC) certification. The "Submariner" is in red letters. It's water resistant to 200 meters (660 feet), and the 15mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed.

This Rolex Red Submariner 1680 has a mechanical automatic selfr-winding Rolex caliber 1575 movement is rhodium-plated with oeil-de-perdrix embellishment. It's constructed with 26 jewels, a shock absorber mechanism, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a monometallic balance adjusted to heat, cold, and 5 positions, a self-compensating free-sprung Breguet balance spring, Microstella regulating screws, and a hacking mechanism.
