The 40mm diameter solid two-body case, straight downturned lugs, and flat angled bezel, are polished/brushed. It has a silver sunray finish dial with applied faceted steel baton indices with luminous inserts, and luminous pips around a black perimeter minute/one-fifth-second scale. It has pointed steel baton hands with luminous inserts, a center sweep steel seconds hand with a counterbalance and a luminous arrow tip, and there is a date aperture window at the 3 o'clock position. It has a 42-hour power reserve at full winding, it's water resistant to 120 meters/400 feet, and the 10.3mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This IWC Ingenieur Automatic IW357001 has a mechanical automatic self-winding caliber IWC 35110 (base Sellita caliber SW300-1 movement. It's rhodium plated with Cote de Geneve and oeil-de-perdrix embellishment, and it's constructed with 25 jewels, a straight-line lever escapement, and a shock absorber mechanism. The monometallic balance adjusts for heat, cold, and 5 positions. It includes a micrometer regulator, a hacking seconds mechanism for precision time setting, and a self-compensating flat balance spring. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz). The IWC Ingenieur Automatic IW357001 was introduced in 2017.
