This is an 18K yellow gold Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Date 140.240.872 B. It has a leather strap with an 18k yellow gold deployant buckle, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. The solid 37mm diameter three-body case, downturned lugs, angled bezel, and engraved case back secured with 4 screws are polished. The dial is silver with applied yellow gold Arabic numeral hour markers at 3, 9, and 12 o'clock, dart indexes, and luminous gold dauphine hands. There is an outer concentric track with painted Arabic date markers, and a center date indicator hand with a red, crescent balance pointer. There is a small seconds subsidiary dial at the 6 o'clock position, and day and month aperture windows under the 12 o'clock position and beneath the logo and signature. It's water resistant and the 10.7mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed.

This Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Date 140.240.872 B has a mechanical automatic self-winding Jaeger LeCoultre caliber 891/447 movement. It's rhodium plated with fausses cotes embellishment, and it's constructed with 36 jewels, a shock absorber mechanism, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a monometallic balance that's adjusted for temperature and six positions, a flat balance spring, and a hacking seconds mechanism. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 mph (4 Hz).
