This is a vintage c. 1986 18K yellow gold Rolex GMT Master Oyster Perpetual Date 16758. It has an integral 18K yellow gold Jubilee bracelet with a double deployant clasp and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal with a Cyclops magnification bubble over the date aperture window at 3 o'clock. It has an 18K yellow gold uni-directional rotating 24-hour GMT bezel and a protected screwed-down crown. The 40mm diameter solid three-body case, integral lugs, knurled bezel rim, and bracelet are polished/brushed. It has a gorgeous brown sunburst dial with luminous "nipple" dot, baton, and triangular hour markers, and luminous skeleton Mercedes hands, all with aged Tritium lume. There is a central GMT hand with a luminous arrow tip for the second time zone, a center sweep seconds hand, and an outer minute/second division track. The watch is water resistant to 100 meters/330 feet and the 12mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed.

This Rolex GMT Master Oyster Perpetual Date 16758 has a mechanical automatic self-winding Rolex caliber 3075 movement. It's rhodium-plated, with oeil-de-perdrix embellishment, and a straight-line lever escapement. It's constructed with 27 jewels, a monometallic balance that's adjusted to temperatures and five positions, and a free-sprung self-compensating Breguet balance spring. It includes Microstella regulating screws and a hacking seconds mechanism. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 19,800 vph (2.75Hz).

The Rolex GMT Master Oyster Perpetual Date 16758 was produced from 1981 to 1988, making this one of the original 16758 GMT's manufactured.
