More about GMT Master II Root Beer Dial 18K / SS Beautiful Faded Bezel

This is a 1995 904L stainless steel and 18K yellow gold Rolex GMT Master II 16713. It has an integral Oysterlock stainless steel and center link 18k yellow gold bracelet, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. The 40mm diameter solid three-body case, bracelet, screwed-down case back and protected Twinlock winding crown with crown guards, and gold knurled bi-directional revolving bezel are polished/brushed. The evenly faded reddish-brown and gold insert on the bezel has 24-hour Arabic numerals for the second time zone. The dial is "Root beer" bronze with gold luminous round, triangular, and baton hour markers, luminescent independently adjustable Rolex "Mercedes-style" gold baton hands, a central sweep seconds hand with a luminous lollipop indicator, and an additional GMT 24-hour hand with a luminous arrow indicator. The quickset date aperture is at the 3 o'clock position under a Cyclops magnifying bubble. It includes a Certified Official Superlative Chronometer (COSC) rating, and it's water resistant to 100 meters/330 feet. It has a 50-hour power reserve at full winding, and the 12mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Rolex GMT Master II 16713 has a mechanical automatic self-winding Rolex caliber 3185 (based on the Rolex caliber 3135) movement that's rhodium-plated, with oeil de perdrix embellishment, and a shock absorber mechanism. It's constructed with 31 jewels, a paramagnetic blue Parachrom hairspring, a straight-line lever escapement, and a monometallic balance that's adjusted to temperatures and 5 positions. It includes a self-compensating free-sprung Breguet balance spring, Microstella regulating screws, and a central hacking seconds mechanism. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz). The Rolex GMT Master II 16713 was introduced in 1984, and it was produced until 2005.
