This is an 18K white gold A. Lange & Sohne Richard Lange Perpetual Calendar "Terraluna" 180.026FE. It has an alligator leather strap with an 18k white gold detachable deployment buckle, and scratch resistant sapphire crystals. It has a screw down signed winding crown, three correctors in line at 9 o'clock on the left-side case band for the perpetual calendar, and there is a fourth corrector at 4 o'clock on the right-side case band. It includes an exhibition sapphire display case back secured with 6 screws engraved with "A. LANGE & SOHNE - GLASHUTTE S.A." hallmarks, and a serial number. The 45.5mm diameter solid three-body case, curved lugs, and convex bezel, are satin/brushed. The silver dial has three overlapping circles including a large off-center dial at 12 o'clock for the Richard Lange jumping constant running small seconds with a black railway-style minute scale with red Arabic numerals at the quarter--minutes, and a blued steel sword indicator hand. There is a circular hour dial with black Roman numerals and a blued steel sword hand, and a month aperture window at its 3 o'clock position. A minute subsidiary dial of the same size as the hours with a black railway-style second ring and black Arabic numerals every ten minutes is entwined with the hours dial, with a blued steel sword indicator hand with a diamond-shaped skeletonized counterbalance. There is an arched aperture opening for the power reserve at 6 o'clock with an applied fixed arrow-shaped white gold pointer; it tells the owner when to refresh the movement with the winding crown. A white gold-framed grand date aperture window is at 12 o'clock. There is an orbital moon phase indicator exhibiting the relative positions of the sun (in an open-worked balance wheel), the moon, and the earth with a grey outer reserve with engraved 24-hour time zone divisions exhibiting a time-of-day reference for regions in the northern hemisphere. The moon orbits the earth in an anti-clockwise movement, with the planetary wheel train always correctly displaying the moon. The mechanism is so accurate that a correction by one day is only required once every 1058 years. It has a 336-hour power reserve at full winding, it's water resistant to 30 meters/100 feet, and the 16.5mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This A. Lange & Sohne Richard Lange Perpetual Calendar "Terraluna" 180.026FE has a mechanical manual winding A. Lange & Sohne caliber L096.1 movement. It's rhodium plated with Cotes de Geneve embellishment, and it's constructed with 80 jewels, 786 components, a constant force escapement, and 2 screwed gold chatons. It includes a twin mainspring barrel, blued screws, a shock absorber mechanism, and a screw balance beat adjustment system. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 21,600 vph (3 Hz). The A. I have been dealing with European Watch Company for over ten years, and have purchased several wrist watches, including IWC, Patek Philippe, Rolex, and Jaeger-LeCoultre. They were not only fairly priced but arrived in like-new condition, fully warranted by European Watch Company. This company has an attentive, knowledgeable staff, a large inventory, and is a genuine pleasure to deal with.
Just completed my 7th transaction with EWC and for the 7th time the transaction was smooth, flawless and quick. Joshua is quick to respond to any e-mails and answer any questions. Ashley knows how to complete the necessary paperwork to avoid any delays at Customs as I am located in Canada and all paperwork needs to be completed perfectly which she is an expert at. You only want to deal with the best and the team at EWC is the best. There is a Yiddish word to describe the people at EWC and that word is mensches which translates to people of integrity and honour.
After a lengthy search I located the Patek Philippe I desired at EWC, but the decision to make a high dollar purchase over the internet was a difficult one. Through numerous emails with Justin and looking at reviews of EWC I made the decision to proceed and I am now ECSTATIC. The watch is exactly as described and pictured. It was perfectly packaged and shipped FedEx overnight. My watch collection now includes the watch I have been seeking for over a year.In summary, you can deal with the EWC staff with confidence. They are professional, honest and you will receive a quality watch which will put a smile on your face.
I live in San Francisco but the EWC website is the first place I check once I get an impulse for a particular watch. EWC's website is cozy and feels like home. I enjoy the photos, presentation, description and historical notes of each item and really like their next day delivery, so I stay loyal to them. Sometimes I must wait awhile for a watch to become available but can usually find anything I want. Then there are the watches you never knew you wanted until you see them here.
Dear EWC, I have just completed my very first purchase with your company: a mint Lange Datograph. Robert was extremely help throughout the process with the item delivered nicely packed to my Hong Kong address within days. The condition of the watch was absolutely mint as described and has exceeded my expectations, even under a loupe! I will be a return customer in no time. Well done!
