More about Omega 220.10.40.20.06.001 Railmaster Master Chronometer SS Co Axial Silver Dial

This is a stainless steel Omega Railmaster Master Chronometer 220.10.40.20.03.001. It has an alligator leather strap with a stainless steel tang buckle, and a domed acrylic crystal with anti-reflective treatment. It has a signed screw down winding crown, and a solid screw down case back engraved with "RAILMASTER," and the Omega seahorse with the Omega symbol over a guilloche background in high relief in the center medallion. Around the perimeter is engraved "NAIAD LOCK – ANTI-MAGNETIC – 15,000 GAUSS – 150M/500FT," hallmarks, "STAINLESS STEEL," and a serial number underneath the lugs. The Naiad lock design keeps the wording in the upright position on the case back. The 40mm diameter solid two-body case, straight lugs, and flat vertically brushed angled bezel, are polished/brushed. It has a vertically brushed matte blue dial with vintage-style cream-colored SuperLumiNova lume on the large dart hour markers, white luminous and Arabic numerals at the quarter hours, around a perimeter white luminous railway-style minute/second scale. It includes pointed silver baton hands with luminous fill, and a silver center sweep seconds hand with a luminous "lollipop" circular indicator. It's a Certified Master Chronometer, approved by METAS (The Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology), and it's resistant to magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss. It has a 55-hour power reserve at full wind, it's water resistant to 150 meters/500 feet, and the 12.8mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed.

This Omega Railmaster Master Chronometer 220.10.40.20.03.001 has a mechanical automatic self-winding Omega caliber 8806 (base Omega caliber 8800) movement. It has a Co-Axial escapement, and it's rhodium plated with Geneva waves in Arabesque on the bridges and platinum rotor. It's constructed with 35 jewels, a shock absorber device, an Omega "Si 14" free-sprung silicon balance spring, and automatic winding in both directions. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 25,200 vph (3.5 Hz).

The Omega Railmaster Master Chronometer 220.10.40.20.03.001 was introduced in 2017 at BaselWorld.
