This is a stainless steel Panerai Luminor Marina PAM00049. It has a leather strap with a stainless steel deployant buckle, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. The solid case back is engraved with the Officine Panerai signature and the caliber number. The solid 40mm diameter three-body case, angled bezel, and crown protector are polished and brushed. The dial is white with luminescent black hands and painted black Arabic hour numeral index markers. It has a minute chapter ring with luminescent dots, a small seconds subsidiary dial at 9 o'clock, and a date aperture at 3 o'clock with a domed magnifying lends. It's water resistant to 300 meters/1000 feet, and a 42-hour power reserve at full wind. This N Series model was first produced in 2011. This is a Certified Official Swiss Chronometer (COSC), and the 15mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed.

This Panerai Luminor Marina PAM00049 has a mechanical automatic self-winding Panerai caliber OP 6560 movement. It's rhodium-plated with special Panerai decoration, and it's constructed with 17 jewels, a shock absorber mechanism, and a straight-line lever escapement. It has a Glucydur monometallic balance that's adjusted to 5 positions, and a self-compensating flat balance spring.

Officine Panerai introduced their Luminor watches in 1950, replacing their Radiomir line. The Panerai special austenitic stainless steel, low carbon alloy AISI 316L is hypoallergenic and highly resistant to corrosion. Like it's Italian Naval Panerai watch predecessors, it does extremely well in extreme environmental conditions, the choice of commandos.
