More about Calatrava 18K Yellow Gold Hobnail Bezel 37MM

This is an 18K yellow gold Patek Philippe Calatrava 5117J. It has an alligator leather strap with a matching 18k rose gold tang buckle, and scratch resistant sapphire crystals. It includes a screwed-down exhibition sapphire case back with hallmarks underneath the lugs, and a protected signed screwed-down winding crown. The 37mm diameter solid two-body case, distinctive double-row hobnail bezel, and downturned lugs are polished. The dial is white with black painted radial Roman numeral hour markers, a black perimeter minute/seconds track, blued gold feuille hands, and a blued sweep second hand with a wedge-shaped counterbalance. There is a black-framed date aperture window at the 3 o'clock position, and it's water resistant to 25 meters/75 feet. It has a 48-hour power reserve at full winding, and the 8.8mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Patek Philippe Calatrava 5117J has a mechanical automatic self-winding Patek Philippe caliber 315/190 movement that's stamped with the Seal of Geneva quality mark. It's rhodium plated, with fausses cotes embellishment. It's constructed with 30 jewels, a straight-line lever escapement, and a Gyromax balance that's adjusted for heat, cold, and 5 positions. It has a shock absorber mechanism, a self-compensating flat balance spring, and a gold rotor. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 21,600 vph (3 Hz). The Patek Philippe Calatrava 5117J was introduced in the early 2000's.
