35278 Rolex 1803 Oyster Perpetual Day Date, 18K rose gold on an 18k rose gold President bracelet, the rose gold case is in excellent condition, automatic Rolex caliber 1556 movement, date, day, COSC, non-quick set, centered sweep seconds hand, silver dial with applied rose gold indexes, luminous plots are full and intact, matching patina with luminous hands, acrylic crystal, 360XXXX (1972), diameter: 36mm, thickness: 12mm. Excellent condition with European Watch Company pouch. This watch was completely serviced by Rolex in July of 2018.

This is a vintage c. 1972 18K rose gold Rolex Oyster Perpetual Day-Date 1803. It has an integral 18K rose gold 3-link President bracelet with a double deployant clasp. It has a screwed down solid case back and winding crown, and an acrylic crystal. The 36mm diameter solid three body case, fluted bezel, and bracelet are polished/brushed. There is a date aperture window (non quick-set) at the 3 o'clock position underneath a Cyclops magnifier bubble, and an arched indicator at 12 o'clock for the completely spelled day of the week in English. The dial is Satine silver with applied rose gold faceted baton hour index markers, luminous dots, and an outer minute/seconds track. It has a central sweep seconds hand, and luminous gold minute and hour hands. The 13mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed.

This Rolex Oyster Perpetual Day-Date 1803 has a mechanical automatic self-winding Rolex caliber 1556 movement that's rhodium-plated, with oeil-de-perdrix embellishment. It's constructed with 26 jewels, and a shock absorber mechanism. It includes a straight-line lever escapement, a monometallic balance adjusted to 5 positions and temperature, and a self-compensating free-sprung Breguet balance spring. There are Microstella regulating screws, and a hacking seconds mechanism for precision time setting. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 19,800 vph (2.75 Hz).
