Vacheron Constantin 222 Overseas, 44'018, 44018, stainless steel on a stainless steel bracelet with foldover deployant clasp, the stainless steel case and bracelet are in incredible condition and may never have been restored, automatic Vacheron Constantin Caliber 12'''1121, matte black dial is in excellent condition with nicely aged patina on the markers and the steel baton hands, date window at the 3 o'clock position, sapphire crystal, originally rated water resistant to 120m but this is no longer applicable, diameter: 38mm, thickness: 7.2mm, Outstanding Complete set for an iconic and extremely rare Vacheron Constantin reference, accompanied by its original box, service receipt dated October 1994, original sales receipt dated October 1978 as well as the original certificate corresponding to 1978. This watch was just completely serviced.

This is a stainless steel Vacheron Constantin Overseas 222. It has a stainless steel bracelet with a matching foldover deployant clasp. The 38mm diameter unibody case and notched stainless bezel are polished and brushed. The case is stamped with the Maltese Cross and the case back is engraved with the model name "222" and the serial number. The original winding crown is also signed with the Vacheron Constantin Maltese cross. The crystal is scratch resistant sapphire. The matte black dial has applied luminous hour index markers and stainless steel baton hands with luminous inserts. There is a date aperture at the 3 o'clock position and the 38mm case, dial, and movement are all signed. This Vacheron Constantin Overseas 222 has a mechanical automatic self-winding Vacheron Constantin caliber 12'''1121 movement that's rhodium-plated, with fausses cotes embellishment. It's constructed with 36 jewels, and a shock absorber mechanism. It has a 21k gold rotor, a free-sprung Gyromax balance that's adjusted for heat, cold, isochronism and five positions, and a self-compensating Breguet balance spring. The Vacheron Constantin Overseas 222 was introduced in 1977, released to celebrate Vacheron Constantin's 222nd anniversary. Produced for only 7 years, roughly 500 pieces total were made in all metal combinations (steel, gold/steel, gold) making this a rare and very desirable piece.
