It has lozenge-shaped chronograph pushbuttons, and a screw-down winding crown capped with the Zenith star. It has a Flyback function for instantly restarting the chronograph with one push of the button instead of stopping, resetting, and restarting the stopwatch. There is a screw-down exhibition sapphire display case back engraved with, "El Primero – 100M," and the reference number "03.2060.405." The 45.5mm diameter solid three-body case, integral downturned lugs, bracelet, and black revolving unidirectional bezel with Arabic numeral 60-minute dive times are polished/brushed. The flat black dial has luminous applied faceted baton hour markers, luminous baton hands, and a center sweep chronograph hand with a red pointer. There is a luminous minute/seconds scale and a perimeter telemeter to 10 miles. It has a date aperture window at the 6 o'clock position. There are contrasting slightly overlapping metallic black sub-dials, including a running seconds register at 9 o'clock, a 12-hour totalizer at 6 o'clock, and there is a 30-minute register at 3 o'clock. It's constructed with 31 jewels, 331 components, a shock absorber device, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a monometallic balance, and an oscillating weight with Côtes de Genève embellishment. The rotor is engraved with "ZENITH EL PRIMERO – MANUFACTURE LE LOCLE – SWISS MADE," and the Zenith star is in the center. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 36,600 vph (5Hz).
